They didnt trade a top 6 D. They traded a 7D for another 7D.

This changes nothing for Myers unless they have the balls to call him up and use Hagg or MacDonald as the 7D..
or there is an injury.

They called Myers up. I refuse to believe they did so to make him the 7D.

Schlemko got plagued by injuries, he would have been a legit #6D if it wasn't for that. He played well in preseason and got immediately injured. He ain't that bad, but he is extremely vanilla at best.

I find myself having similar knee jerk reactions like this. 4 years of Hakstol really f***ed with us haha.

If Schlemko finds himself as a regular in the line up next year this is a bad trade. If he simply plays for the Phantoms it is a whatever deal.

Amac is the next target, or should be. If he gets rid of him some how I have to say I will become a real fan of Chuck.

Shaved a couple hundred thousand off the cap next year. Now trade Schlemko for a guy with a cap hit of $1.9m.

Also he’s been injured so much maybe he’ll get LTIRed next year.
