Flint Firebirds 2019-20 Season Thread (Part 2)

Out of all this Pandemic and the impact on the OHL I probably feel the worst for your team and your fans. Been a bit of a gong show in Flint and once all those years of struggle are going to finally payoff with a real decent playoff team it gets blown up!

Actually it kind of makes sense as the early years of the OHL in Flint were all about having the worst case scenario happen so this is somewhat following along recent club history. Next season still looks decent for the you all doesn’t it?

Thanks Buttsy. We are sorely dissappointed however for me anyway is the regret at not having a rousing playoff sendoff for our long time players that have been so awesome and hung in there with us through it all. Many will be moving on to new things after this season and I would have loved to give then one more roof raising cheer and watch Jack Phibbs check all them off the ice one last time.

Knew it was coming. Very disappointing for players and fans, but totally understand and support the decision.
