Yeah and he's skating faster than I remember too. Hopefully it translates for him this season

He needs a big year or I don't see the Flames qualifying him. Most important thing for him was fitness level, and it appears he's made some strides there. Hopefully he can make an impact with the Heat this season.

I guess you guys jut saw the instagram pic of Gaudreau with the caption, "I love this organization." That put a smile on my face there.

Big thanks to you guys for the reports by the way.

Anything stick out so far buddy?

We're about twenty minutes from done I think, plus the scrum after. I'll do a full writeup of my notes after those. Brief thoughts? Agostino never quits on the puck. Determined, tenacious as hell and not a bad player. Skyrocketing up my hopefuls list.

Jankowski is easily the 2nd best guy on the ice after Bartschi. Big surprise how much he has grown as a player.

Perfect, Thanks for doing this though, As a flames fan from Quebec I rarely get to hear about the camps so its nice having eyes within.

If anyone has watched the Flames development camp, Please let me know who stood out, who looked NHL/AHL ready, Who just needs a lot of work, And who shouldn't be there at all.

Thank you,

Awesome! Excited to see what kinds of points he can put up next year at Providence.

Also, anything you can put up about Granlund would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Okay, this tweet from Cruickshank made me smile/chuckle.

#Flames RW Ben Hanowski is as fit as a fiddle. Trimmed eight pounds from his six-foot-two frame. Down to 205.

Hopefully that leads to quicker first steps and general speed.

Group B

94 - Agostino, Kenny - LW nice skater. Determined as hell. Love it crazy determination 1 on 1. Never ever ever quits. Nice goal 3 on 2. Good playmaking too.

92 - Arnold, Bill - C solid frame. Nice corner pick goal on Ortio. Some solid passes and battles. Top three on the bag race

47 - Baertschi, Sven - LW watching sven do the skating drills amuses me. Look pretty easy for him. Wow on stick handling drills. It's not even fair to the other guys. 2nd on the bag race. He started tired.

1 - Brossoit, Laurent - G spent the entire practice at the far end. Didn't get to see much to be honest. Little bit I did see looked good.

45 - Eddy, David - RW - see Elson. Including bit about better 2nd half.

65 - Elson, Turner - LW - heart for sure. Dunno what else at about the halfway. Nice goal in second half Waaaay better second half.

62 - Gordon, Coda - RW - good shot, decent speed. Nice snipe goal

60 - Granlund, Markus - C - good edges. Nice goal on 2 person breakaways. More physical than I thought he'd be. Took sieloff into the corner and won.

77 - Jankowski, Mark - C - super tall. Quick lateral puck moving. Nice passes, good shot.nice hands in close. Great edge control. I'd hazard a guess he's grown. Easily 2nd tallest behind Kanzig. 2nd best player after Bartschi. Nice snipe. Struggled a bit with contact still. Not a lot but was noticeable early. Got much better in that regard as time went on. Wow. Crunched Arnold in the corner while playing a defensive role m

86 - Jooris, Josh - C crazy shot. Very emotional guy. Very good on the 2 on 1s. If he keeps this up during the camp I can see him getting an Ahl deal

73 - Kanzig, Keegan - LD - beast of a man. Standing behind the net the bar comes halfway up,the crest. Just while warming up Kanzig doesn't look too bad a skater. We'll see if it holds up. No faster or slower during the sprints. One of the stronger wristers. Passing is average. Ice is poor though. Looks far better than advertised. Quite good defending on the 2 on 1's. no offence at all though. Uses his long stick length to his advantage. Flames tv interview with him is very telling about his character.

61 - Kulak, Brett - LD smooth skater. Did pretty decently during the actual drills defensively and had a nice pass. Threw some huge hits on the 3 on 2's. some grit when he gets pissed.

63 - MacKenzie, Drew - RD, solid defensively

37 - Ortio, Joni - G -Big guy great glove. Active stick. Looks very good on the 2 on 0's. has been surprisingly good.

57 - Poirier, Emile - RW - looks shorter than I expected. Squat. Finally got to see his speed. Didn't see enough but I was underwhelmed.

49 - Ramage, John - RD good shot, decently good skater. Excellent defensively.

59 - Reinhart, Max - C - don't see a 59 out there. Might be different number.

50 - Sieloff, Patrick - LD - first guy out on the ice. 15 minutes early. I wouldn't say he struggled during the skating drills, but he looked uncomfortable. Good shot. More comfy doing other drills. Threw a nice hit on the 3 on 2's

56 - Wotherspoon, Tyler - LD - second guy out, minutes after Sieloff. Smoother skater than Sieloff. Got some speed actually. Good job defensively tying guys up. Nice stick handling in a small space

3 on 2's were much more physical. Guys got grumpy.

What group is Deblouw in?

Supposedly in group A, but I never saw anyone wearing the number the info sheets/the website said he would be. I couldn't find him because of that. Regardless, I never had someone stand out on me I couldn't find.

What about Padakin ? anything on him? hear he is very quick.

Speed, good shot, not a whole lot else I noticed. He won the bag skate race at the very end of group A's session. Granted said race only had life half the team doing it.
