Quesnel, B.C.
Well, we‘re rapidly approaching Trade Deadline and this Game appears to be a tipping point whether our Management decide to be Sellers or Buyers (Perhaps a bit of both?)

As a result, we are a somewhat torn Fanbase on which direction to commit. IMHO, there are good cases to be made either way. I still maintain that I just want to see the team compete hard and players to progress in their development.

So, I’m revising a parody I wrote back in the winter of 2020 when we were in a similar position and we were disagreeing on the plan to take. Please note that even if I do not agree with the extreme opinions, I really appreciate the passion of our Board & respect your willingness to express it here.

.
There is unrest on the Canucks Board
There is trouble with the Team
And Pro-Tank want more losses
While Pro-Win still want to Believe

The trouble with the Tankers
And they're quite convinced they're right
They say the playoffs are just too lofty
Let’s sell to make our future bright

But the Winners can't help their feelings
If they like the way they're made
And they wonder how the Tankers
Can be so happy throwing shade?

There is tension on the Canucks Board
Mods monitoring game day threads
As Pro-Tankers scream “We told you so!”
And Pro-Winners, just shake their heads

So Pro-Tankers formed their own Thread
Where complaining is in the right
'Pro-Winners are just delusional
But they never were too bright!’

Now there's finally a game to watch today
Hopefully we can avoid pointing blame
Tonight we stand together
To watch our Boys
Put out
The Flames

I wonder if the plan was to start Spencer Martin for a game this weekend. He was really bad Wednesday night though for Abbotsford so they had to pivot.

Just makes the insistence on playing Halak for his bonus game even more bizarre.
Hoping he waives and we can move him by Monday. Would rather give Martin a couple starts (and for a lot cheaper).

It pretty much comes down to the wire now..It would be delicious for the Flames to knock the Canucks completely out of the running..Hopefully, the Canucks can pull off a victory..The team hasn't been completely sharp on this homestand, and if they're squeezing the sticks too tight, it could be tough..

Anyway, meaningful games in March...here we are.

The next two games are when players that want to stay get injured (tweeks) and take themselves out of the game and those that want to traded push hard.
If they lose look to see what players sit the next game.

That is why Demko is playing tonight because if they lose then rumours can become reality
So this is really THE GAME that decisions are made if they lose.

The next game, Buffalo is also a decision maker but lose either and the sale starts
IMO Giroux trade talk has hesitated because of JT Miller and Horvat trade hints

Calgary sticks it to the Canucks, Demko gets pulled

I need a high scoring game with lots of points for Andersson and Lindholm for my fantasy team. 7-5 Calgary so the Canucks sell on Monday.

That 7-1 game Feb. 24, we scored 3 goals on Marky before he had a skate blade problem and was replaced by Vladar. Wonder who they'll start tonight.
Saw Bruce's interview where he indicated he won't have a problem playing Demko b2b this weekend.

Regardless, please don't waste a one goal performance by Demko like we did against Detroit. Hopefully, that was the Canucks' stinker game of the month.
GO DEMKO !

Whatever does or does not happen by Monday's trade deadline, I just want it over as soon as possible.
I think this is giving the players (especially Boeser) the yips. Plus, getting Boeser's contract finalized should take a load off his mind.

They'll probably win. Looking at the schedule on paper, the Detroit game should have been an easy win and the Calgary game the question mark.

They'll win tonight and continue a win one, lose one pattern just keeping a miniscule statistical chance at making it alive until past the deadline.

I have to believe mgmt isn't living day to day and changing plans as such, but a loss here would really cement the direction.
