Looked like a pretty good crowd in Florida tonight. Good to see that.

I'm definitely going to have to watch this on GCL. I follow (and try to watch all the games of) 3 teams, so I rarely have time to watch any other games, but I'm watching this for sure.

How was Luongo not the first star!?! NHL.com has Derek McKenzie as the first star.

No thanks. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Aside from the fact that not all broken clocks are "right twice a day", what makes your opinion on the shootout gospel?

Based on this thread, a lot of people enjoyed tonight's shootout.

So what happens if all the players get a chance to shoot ? Do they just reset ?

My favourite part here is seeing which players each team left to the very end before having to choose them

Washington's final shooter before the reset: Karl Alzner
Florida's final shooter before the reset: Willie Mitchell

Though really, to be honest, round 19 shooters should have been Holtby and Luongo

i can't believe people calling it "amazing" and "hilarious".
it is a blatant outrage on the game that's what it is.

Yes. It would have been so thrilling to witness it end in a tie half an hour earlier. :shakehead

The Panthers may take the most boring team in hockey award away from the Devils

Right on.

Video recorded, stored for future review, it was that good. Thank you NHL.com for making the whole thing available.

...and while i'm a Pens fan and thus, want the Crapitals to fail forever, i absolutely wanted the Panthers to win this one > Epic multiple SO comebacks! :handclap:

I don't like shootouts as a way to win a game in principle but actually like watching them for the skill and entertainment value, and boy did this one deliver on entertainment. :handclap:

This was most unbelievable for the level of scoring. I thought it was going to be 20 rounds of just amazing tending / missed shots. Instead there were like 4(?) rounds where WSH scored, seemed over, the FLA equalized. Awesome.
