How would that be? There was a lot of sense from team's succession's point of view to bring in JP and Aho mid-tournament to their respective WJC U18's. At that level an offensive superstar is often a true gamechanger.
That was different situation and Puljujärvi didn't have big role in Kärpät 2015 liiga championship winning team.
But Kakko is 1st line RW for TPS and his role is big and being honest Kakko doesn't have nothing to prove in U18 WJC's anymore.
Let him play good or very good liiga playoffs and help TPS winning liiga championship title.
And after liiga playoffs let him show his best in IIHF men's world championships.
Kakko's situation to U18 WJC's is same than Patrik Laine's situation was 2016.
And despite missing Laine 2016 U18 WJC's Finland still won gold medal.
Why same can't happen next April without Kakko?
