How the **** was the hit not penalized? If it was Gudas it would have been 5 and a game.

Why the **** does McCrossin have a job?
g probably wanted to stay in and win the game. Probably never said anything till after the game. Props for trying to win when we needed it but sucks he's out.

I don't think the play was dirty, but i do think there is a double standard in how plays of that sort are judged and treated.

Seems like there have been several non-penalized clear penalty plays against flyers players this year that resulted in games missed from effects.

and there have been times when Gudas and White should of been suspended for dirty hits.
this conspiracy theory people have is dumb and stupid.
it sucks Giroux is hurt but there is no goddamn conspiracy.

I didn't think it was suspension worthy, still don't. Minor penalty for roughing maybe, but I don't think anything else was needed. He hit his head, but it didn't look malicious or intentional to me.

And also, we don't know for sure that this is why Giroux is out. It's likely, but not a sure thing so I'd just wait and see before getting worked up.

Just saw on Twitter that he has a concussion and then another said that he's day to day and Hextall will update tomorrow. Not sure if the inside information is right but I sure as **** hope not.

They showed the hit on G and Komarov's hit and Glenn Healy said, 'what is the difference between the hits?'

Sometimes concussions aren't apparent until later. Ask David Perron how that works.

Howard Eskin, on his twitter, mentioned concussion though he didn't cite any source other than being told.

The team Giroux plays for.

Has the DoPS come out with any explanation for why there isnt supplemental discipline?

COUTURIER & GIROUX
Sean Couturier skated today and he’s ahead of schedule,” said Hextall. “We’re on a day-to-day basis with him now. He’ll skate again [Monday] and we’ll see where it goes.”

Couturier has missed the last nine games with a lower-body injury, last appearing in the club’s 6-3 win over the Predators on Feb. 4. Prior to his most recent injury, Couturier posted 24 points (9g-15a) in 40 games, with six of his nine goals and 14 of those 24 points coming in the last 16 games.

The Flyers have a 3-3-3 record in the last nine without Couturier and overall, the Flyers are 5–9-4 without Couturier in the lineup.

Hextall also added that Flyers captain Claude Giroux skated with Couturier on Sunday for a few minutes and his status is the same as it was on Saturday, day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Hextall said he doesn’t know if he will play against the Hurricanes in Carolina on Tuesday, but there was certainly a possibility.

“They both did well today,” added Hextall on Couturier and Giroux, but said as far as Tuesday is concerned for Couturier, it’s a possibility but not a probability that he will return to the lineup.

MEDVEDEV & THE GOALTENDERS
Hextall confirmed that defenseman Evgeny Medvedev, who didn’t finish the game at Toronto on Saturday, is fine and was bruised up a little bit.

Likewise, goaltender Steve Mason had some cramping and that both he and Michal Neuvirth are healthy.

Forward Jordan Weal has a week and a half to go to recover from his upper-body injury.

Good... good... we need at least 1 of Giroux or Coots against the Canes. I expect Coots back around the weekend then by the way it sounds.

Classic Jim McCrossin.

Still not as bad as Schenn going down with a clear fencing response, flopping all over the ice...and receiving no additional concussion testing or baseline testing because they used a loophole in the league protocol by not sending him into the game. You don't have to test him and discover he's concussed if he's not gonna play anymore.

After that, it came down to whether Schenn said he felt fine or not the next day. He said he did. He had been having a solid run of play, but took a huge step back afterwards for a while.

Such garbage.
