Since all the Oil fans are so dismissive of lil Paul Byron, I'd like to nominate Byron as well. Look McDavid is twice, no maybe 10 times the player Byron is but that doesn't make him better in every respect.
Caps have several top end speed guys, but I think this would be a good category for Kuznetsov. Not the fastest guy out there, but seems to glide past people with the puck on his stick. He’s got a good sense of positioning himself in relation to the puck and defender that allows him to keep stride while the defender loses ground.
I can't claim he's the fastest in the league, but I'm curious how many of the "big names" he would beat without the average hockey fan having any idea...
