Sure it is as the vast majority of writers and fans don't know anything outside of stats....that was my point. There is not 1 single NHL GM or head scout who would take Hutson over Hughes including our own GM. HuGo would make that trade in less than a nano second.
This is not to take away from Lanes incredible season and obvious gifts but to dismiss the ridiculous notion that he is better than Hughes because he was nominated and Luke Hughes was not. The only thing that is revealed here is the prolific idiocy that the NCAA displays in all of it's sports. Somehow Mathew Knies wins Big10 player of the year despite being at best the second best forward on his line and maybe even the worst lol......and they also give it to him over Fantilli who just put up a freshman season not seen since the great Paul Kariya.
The NCAA is and always has been a Mickey Mouse sideshow with a large dollop of corruption on the side. Not saying that this case is corrupt but the Knies thing is beyond bizarre.
