I would put McDonagh in over Weber. IMO he's ready for the big leagues.

That 4th line is NUTS. Easily the most hated line in the league by the end of the season.

But all in all, props Heaters, you built a solid team, even without Vinny.

Devils have dealt Zubrus and now have about 5 M in Cap room to play with, looking to deal Pandolfo, and fill our 2nd line C gap ASAP.

Isn't McDonagh going back to college anyway?

And thanks :)

I really looked to build up the D (traded for Gilbert, Enstrom, Weber, and drafted Hedman) in this and then went offense through UFA. I think my final roster will look like this:

Malon- Stamkos- St. Louis
Guerin- Dubinsky- Havlat
Prospal- Lang- Kovalev
Artuchkin- Downie- Neil
Higgins

Gilbert- Enstrom
Hedman- Meszaros
Weber- Ranger

Chicago make 3 big signings and add some depth.

The Chicago Blawkhawks have signed Nik Antropov to a 4 year deal, 3.75 million per. They have also signed Shaone Morrisonn to a 3 year, 2.25 million per deal. They also signed Chris Bourque to a 2 year, 700,000 per year deal.

Boston+Bruins+v+New+York+Rangers+8zz7twN_nQFl.jpg

"We are happy to sign a player like Antropov. We think he has so much potential in him. He'll be playing along side Jonathan Toews and Pat Kane. His size will open up a lot of ice for the 2 youngsters. He's going to put up big numbers on that line."

shamoblog.jpg

"After missing out on Komisarek and Beauchemin we needed to bring in another defenceman. Morrisonn is a perfect fit on our team. He's young and is a good stay at home D-man. He'll be paired with Cam Barker."

CalderCupRally005.jpg

"We wanted to add some speed to our team and Bourque is the perfect guy for that. He plays with a ton of energy and he's a winner. It also helps that his dad was one of the best defenceman of all-time. We expect Bourque to contribute with the NHL team this year."

Chicago also signed Steve Pinizzotto and Andrew Joudrey. They will add depth to our AHL team.

Detroit made a surprise move, signing Goalie Josh Harding to a 3yr deal. The talented young G will split time with Chris Osgood next season, and immediately upgrades the prennial Cup contenders in net.

"Chris is a warrior, but he will help us better in the playoffs with time off. Josh is the future of this franchise and the 2 will make an awesome team."

THE VANCOUVER CANUCKS HAVE SIGNED MIKE KNUBLE.

knuble-s_43071.jpg

The deal is worth 2.5 million per year for 2 seasons. The Canucks believe they have finally found the missing piece for the Sedin twins. They still have a few more offseason moves to go.

Looking to trade Matt Carle for a player who knows how to play hockey.

Also taking offers for Marc Savard. Does not have an NTC so all places are open. Will only trade him to a team willing to extend him though.

Seeing Francis Bouillon doesn't have a agent and deserves one, I will be his agent.

Francis is a very good 5th defenceman on most teams. Great speed and mobility and a great body checker. Heart of a lion and backs down from no one and will fight anyone to protect his teammates.

Looking for a long term deal with good money but open to any offers.

Still no offer for Frank the Tank :(

He's worth a good contract to team needing leadership and experience on the bottom pairing and a guy that will do anything for the team.

Kostopoulos stays in Montreal

tk_inside.jpg

Tom Kostopoulos and the Montreal Canadiens have reach a 1 year contract worth 800k$.

''Tom is a veteran and a leader. He's been nothing short of great in his first 2 years with the team and we welcome him with open arms. We've made many changes, needed ones but still many, so keeping some stability in the locker room with such a person like Kostopoulos was important to us.''

Montreal Canadiens have completed their 2009-2010 team

Alex Tanguay - Vincent Lecavalier - Guillaume Latendresse
Max Pacioretty - Saku Koivu - Marian Hossa
Lauri Korpikari - Maxim Lapierre - Tom Kostopoulos
Greg Stewart - Mike Zigomanis - Georges Laraque

Andrei Markov - Matt Greene
Jay Bouwmeester - François Beauchemin
Josh Gorges - Ryan O'Byrne

Carey Price
Erik Ersberg

Matt D'Agostini, Mathieu Dandenault

Total Cap Hit: 56.058mil$ (642k$ in cap space)

That's a complet overhaul of the team. Never had that much talent in a long time in Montreal and on paper, things are looking great now and for the future.

We will now work on our Hamilton Bulldogs to make sure they are as competetive as possible for our fans in Hamilton and our young players to be in a winning atmosphere.

D'Agostini and Dandenault (under our goalies)

Nice to have a player who could score 25 goals as a healthy scratch haha. And Dandenault can play both foward and defence and he's been great in both role here. Only problem was his high salary, that isn't a problem anymore at 700k$.

Wish like hell I could keep Francis...we have the same name after all haha. But I did'nt want to low blow him and hoped he'd get a better opportunity elsewhere that we could offer him...still working on it as his agent.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are pleased to announce that they have agreed to terms on a contract extension with their Captain, Rick Nash. The deal is 10 years with total compensation of 78 million dollars. The deal has an annual cap hit of 7.8 million dollars. Years 1-5 have a no movement clause, while years 6-10 have a no trade clause.

"We're ecstatic to have Rick back in the fold for 10 seasons beyond this coming season. The contract is fair for both sides and will allow us to keep the young core of our team together for a long time to come," said GM Kev22. "Rick is the leader and soul of this club and it was our #1 priority to get this deal done," he continued.

The final year of Nash's contract sees the club taking a cap hit of 5.4 million dollars, so his cap number will jump 2.4 million dollars beginning in 2010-11 and keep him a Blue Jacket through the 2020-2021 season.

The Jackets are close to finalizing their roster, but are still working on a few tweaks to hopefully build on their playoff run of last year.

For anyone issing out on the FA market, Detroit has young talent that can go cheap.

Lilja, Lebda or Meech are all solid depth D with playoff experience, and can be had dirt cheap.

Jimmy Howard is also on teh block, a young future #1 that can be had for a similar F or D prosdpect or pick.
