:wild waive Niklas Backstrom and Matt Cooke

We are still in the market for a top 6 left winger, 3rd line center and number one goalie. We may be willing to trade one of Marco Scandella or Jared Spurgeon. Josh Harding, Darcy Kuemper, prospects and picks are also available.

Chris Stewart (50% retained)
Jake McCabe
BUF 3rd 2014

:sabres

Torey Krug
BOS 2nd 2014

:bruins confirm

It is tough giving up Krug considering his development so far and his production for a defender at such a young age. However, it's time to re-shape this Boston team so we can get back on track for the Stanley Cup. Stewart is coming off a bad season but with a change of scenery, we feel he'll be able to bounce back and be a quality power-forward for our team. We are also excited to acquire Jake McCabe. McCabe is coming off a solid sophomore season in Wisconsin and will get a good look this coming season at training camp.

It appears likely that the Staal brothers will be staying in Carolina. There is still a lot of interest in Eric and we're open to moving him, but he's also still a piece we can build around. A definitive decision on whether he's staying or going will be made in the next 24 hours will be made, so if interested, pm me now.

The Hurricanes would love to acquire a solid second pairing defender and a top 6 winger. Tlusty, all prospects and 7th overall are available.

Kevin Bieksa could be on the move soon, so get your offers in. Looking for quality young players (NHL or prospects) and/or good draft picks.

Kevin "I'm going down with the ship" Bieksa? If his NTC is waived in this game, then NTC shouldn't be a factor IMO.

"After talking to general manager Nuckles, I have decided that it's best for everyone for me to waive my NTC." - Kevin Bieksa

There, it's now allowed since he said he'd waive in this GM game world.

Dat mustache.

Dallas GM Modo, upon hearing of this dastardly deed, demands compensation for this blatant act of tampering in the form of Vancouver's first round draft pick.

For the next five years.

Dallas also announces the hiring of Trevor Linden to be our new equipment manager.

The Los Angeles Kings have finalized two separate deals over the night. The first trade was completed with the Boston Bruins, as the Kings sent forward Dustin Brown to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Brad Marchand.

"Both players were in need of a change, Marchand will get a fresh start playing with Kopi."

The Kings and Sabres got together for the second deal as Mike Richards, Derek Forbort and the Kings 1st round draft pick in this years entry draft were sent to the Sabres in return for defenseman Christian Ehrhoff and Winnipeg's 2nd round pick this year.

"Mike was a victim of our depth down the middle and we felt we could use it to our advantage by acquiring a top three defenseman in Christian."

He'll be a solid building block for our current and long-term defensive core. Good luck to Jiri in Arizona''.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

:sharks :flames

The Calgary Flames have acquired forward James Sheppard and Adam Burish from the San Jose Sharks, in exchange, the Flames sent forward T.J Galiardi to the Sharks.

''James (Sheppard) is a very solid young third liner with still untapped upside who'll be with us long-term. He has good size, very solid hockey IQ, good skills and offensive game, solid two-way game and at both-end of the rink, can play physical as well. We love his character and want to bring guy like him to our team, he's a guy who struggled early in his career in Minnesota, was traded to San Jose, struggled at the begenning as well, then suffered a patella injury that prevent him to play a complete season, but he's a guy with great work-ethic and character that never stopped working and is now a very effecient 2rd liner with still upside left. We are thrilled to have him''.

''Adam (Burish) is a leader who brings leadership and winnig pedigree to our team, He's a Stanley Cup winnier, also won a NCAA championship as a captain of his team. He needs a change of scenary to re-find his efficient role game, and we believe he can do it with us. He's a big guy who forecheck well, finishes his checks, good in his own-end and will step up for a teammates. We are very happy to have him to mentor and to be a leader for our young team. Good luck to T.J in San Jose''.

Thanks to IR4 for the smooth negotiations.

:leafs UPDATE

ON THE TRADE BLOCK :
Phil Kessel (LNTC until July 1st, modified NTC/NMC after)
Nazem Kadri
Joffrey Lupul (LNTC : 14 teams trade list)
David Clarkson (Modified NTC/NMC)

Our focus remains to move Kessel if we can get the type of offer we want. We have started discussions with a couple new teams yesterday night and we have a better idea at this point of what we would want from teams still involved. A trade could happen today but it's not too late to send your offer.

PM!

May still look to add a 2/3 LW. The better the player the more I could be convinced to dangle Martin Jones as a trade piece.
