READ THE RULES.

And make sure you have your roster & cap info posted in the roster thread!

[fieldset=""]Commissioners
[/fieldset]
[fieldset=""]
Game Schedule

  • Entry Draft: TBA
  • Free Agency Begins: TBA
    *All times ET, and subject to change.
[/fieldset]
[fieldset=""]
Salary Cap

  • The salary cap maximum for the 2014-2015 season will be $71.1M.
  • Teams may exceed the cap maximum by 10% during the offseason.
  • Teams must comply with the salary cap by the end of the game.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players by the end of the game.
  • Teams may sign their draft picks to contracts using the ENTRY LEVEL CONTRACT CHART
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Waivers/Buyouts
  • Post in this thread if you’d like to place a player on waivers.
  • Each team has the option of sending ONE player on a 1-way contract to the minors or Europe due to cap reasons.
  • Burying a player in the minors or Europe only eliminates a maximum of $900k of their cap hit.
  • A player will be on waivers for 24 hours.
  • Waiver priority will be based on the 2013-2014 NHL standings.
  • If a team claims a player off of waivers, they then have the lowest waiver priority.
  • Compliance buyouts are permitted prior to the Free Agency period. Real life buyouts count to the 2 buyout total.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Trades
  • All trades must be sent to IslesRock4 and AnalogMan or else they are not valid.
  • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
  • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
  • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. The commissioners hold the power to veto any ridiculous trades.
  • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH trade managers prior to posting. Keep in mind it will only be on a rare occasion that a NTC or NMC is waived.
  • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
  • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.
  • Vetoed deals will require a significant re-work in order for them to be accepted.
  • If a player waives his NTC or NMC, the NTC or NMC is still valid with their new team.

We call first dibs on ripping off the rookie GM's...

Brodziak, Cooke, Zucker, Harding, Backstrom, draft picks, non-NHL prospects (Dumba, Phillips, etc...) all available. Looking for a number one goalie, top 6 winger and top 4 d-man.

:habs not really sure what were doing at this point. We'd like to make a few changes to our offense and add a solid defensive Dman. We are looking to stay competitive and build around our young star players. Open to anything (except moving Subban or Price). Gallagher, Galchenyuk, Beaulieu and Tinordi will most likely not be moved and Pacioretty can be had in either a 1 for 1 swap or in a package (very unlikely he is moved for a package unless I really like the pieces)

OTB
Emelin: We have a plethora of LHD man and feel Alexei is the odd man out, hes a solid 2nd pairing D with a physical edge.

Plekanec: We wouldn't mind keeping him but if he can net us a solid return we could let him go.

Moen/Prust We'd like to move one of the 2, they are great character 4th liners but with the emergence of Weise and Bournival we feel 1 of them is expendable.

Budaj Tokarski will learn a lot from a whole season of being Price's backup, Budaj is a great backup for a team in need of some stability behind their starter.

Briere He has performed well in the playoffs for us but we need to make room for our youngsters.

Needs
Young/Prime aged top 6 wingers

Good close to NHL ready forward prospects

Solid 2nd pairing Defensive Dman (preferably a RHD)

Nice to see the league finally get off the ground!

Now, to post a deal that was finalized a few days ago.

:stars
Cody Franson
James Reimer
Jerry D'Amigo

:leafs
Alex Chiasson
Philip Desrosiers

Dallas bolsters their blueline with a heavy hitter in Franson, and also adds a reliable backup goalie who will replace the departing Tim Thomas.

Tough to move Chiasson, but with Brett Ritchie ready to make the jump, we feel he will slot right in and make an immediate impact on this Stars team. We wish Alex all the best in Toronto, in hopes that he finds his offensive game once again.

*** We are NOT rebuilding. Of course, you can see that we want to make major changes but we are not interested in picks and prospects as centerpiece for our top players available. We want young NHL players to build a new core along with JVR, Bernier and Rielly. ***

:habs confirm Leblanc has failed expectations miserably for us and in Glennie we hope to salvage a solid hockey player that can be a long standing supporting cast member for our team.

Trade talks for 1st overall pick in the draft are heating up. Don't bring a package of future assets. We want to compete NOW.

Currently fielding offers on Jason Spezza, Chris Phillips and Craig Anderson. Each player has generated some interest around the league.

We're looking to re-tool, not rebuild. This means that we're not particularly interested in picks or prospects (unless the pick is a first-rounder). We are willing to move any of our picks and prospects in order to bring in a legitimate top-six forward and a solid top-four defenseman.

Both Jordan and Eric Staal are still very much available but it appears to be increasingly likely both will stay, particularly in the case of Jordan. I want high end future pieces/young players in return for Eric, I have zero interest in second round picks, very late 1sts and B level prospects. Salary can be retained on any player but that will be reflected in the return.

Actively looking to move Cam Ward.

Actively shopping Kris Letang for a young(27 and under), top 6 forward. Marc-Andre Fleury is also available for any team looking for a capable #1 goaltender without having to commit to a lenghty contract.
