The fact that people come forward years later all the time - and, more frequently, never do - should tell you these situations are a hell of a lot more complicated for the victim than "come out and state so when it happens" would suggest.

Also, it's hilarious that you seem to think it's strange that a rich, talented, attractive guy could also be a creep/asshole.
Well said. Working in the medical field, & having close contacts with specialists in these areas I can attest to many experiances from victims. Hope Alomar gets the proper help he needs cause hes done some serious damage.

If we're taking a catcher I'm taking Harry Ford before Joe Mack. More explosive pure tools.

I take Cusick or Baez before both though, and at least consider Stovall.

Cusick has better pitch data (fastball spin) than Bachman. Better size, and a more free and easy delivery too. Would give us another 6'6 guy who throws 100mph. Just needs to improve command.

Imagine:

Nate 6'6
Manoah 6'7
Cusick 6'6

Not a fan going catcher with our only pick in the first 2 round but if he is on the board then Henry Davis is have a ridiculous season.

220+ PAs in 2020 and 2021 and he has an OBP of .500. He has double the amount of walks than he does strikeouts. 27 extra base hits to his 19 strikeouts. And 10 SBs this season.

Though he likely goes in the top 10, maybe earlier with the season he is having.

I don't think he's making it out of the top 10 though. I'm also against taking a high school catcher with our pick given the other options I see.

Fisher Cats pick up right where they left off. Martin walk, Groshans walk, Moreno double. 2 runs so far, bases loaded right now.

edit: 3 run triple from Podkul and SWR has a 5 run cushion before he even steps on the mound

36 pitch 4th inning for SWR. Started off with a 10 pitch AB that was a single, and he would have been out of the inning earlier if not for an error by Samad Taylor. In all 3 runs, 1 earned, 2 more K's for 8 total. He's at 76 pitches, not sure if he'll come back out for the 5th.

SWR is done for the day. Canadian Curtis Taylor who we got as one of the 2 PTBNL in return for Sogard is in now. I believe it's his first official appearance for the Jays organization.

Not super Jays related but seeing "Albert Pujols DFA'd" come across my feed is still really jarring.

He's been ass since he signed that deal 10 years ago (holy shit) but he's still friggen Albert Pujols, who was one of the best players of the 2000s if not the best.

The guy has been a below replacement player since 2016, if anything, the Angels has been way too lenient with him the guy should have been DFA'd a long time ago. Joey Bats couldn't even get a min lvl contract despite still being a better position player compare to Pujols who was getting paid like a superstar.

I really can't think of a good comparison for SWR. A right handed power pitcher with above average stuff and plus command. Zack Greinke with Kevin Appier's delivery?

Greinke (Age 18)

SWR (Age 18)

So over 10 years he has accumulated net....6 fwar for the Angels. And got paid $240 mil to do it.

I can't think of a worse contract in the history of sports - although the NBA has a couple that come close.

I know it's a day to drool over SWR and Manoah but I've been waiting for a Monsion apperance in Dunedin as he put up great numbers in the GCL 2 years ago. He gets put in in a mess of a 4th inning with a runner on, the first guy reaches on an error and then he strikes out 3 guys in a row.

Meanwhile Manoah seems to be either hitting everyone by pitch or striking them out. stuck out 7 and hit 3 batters so far 3 batters into the 4th inning
