I'm pretty happy (liverpool guy here). Although i thought it was a pretty soft penalty that brought the tying goal.

I know many Liverpool fans give praise to Harvey Elliott, but i just don't see it in him. He just seems a notch below. He's slow, easily dispossessed, not all that technically skilled. I don't get it. also a guy like Ben Doak. Yeah there's potential. but if he is ever going to be relied upon out of necessity, then we're in trouble. He's a ways off. Makes me appreciate Jarrell Quansah's contributions that much more.

Gravenberch looked good i thought although he might already be injured. sigh.

Honestly could you have imagined even 2 years ago saying "James Milner and Ansu Fati will be playing for Brighton in the Europa league"

Milner obviously the more understandable one given his age and past, but still it's kinda nuts.

Honestly, credit to the officiating crew there. If he felt there was no contact, then a yellow for simulation is the right call. And it did look like a dive at live speed.

That's what VAR is there for though, and the replay makes it clear it's a foul.

No, although I'm still getting over the fact that we won promotion to the premiership.

Brighton played really well just had a couple of brain farts that led to goals. Totally botched the marking on the first goal, poor coverage on the FK on the second, and Lamptey totally misjudged the play on the third.

CL may not have been off to a great start with Bayern getting an unimpressive win over ManU, while we and BVB couldn't snag results against the top teams in our groups, but Thursday was a good day for the BuLi as Freiburg grabbed the winner late...after a very well taken equalizer from Olympiakos. Leverkusen ran out to a comfortable 4-0 win in their match. And Frankfurt got off to a winning start in the Conference League.

Almeyda dominated De Zerbi, here is the summary of the match.

Then and there
Of the 16 matches I watched in the Europa & Conference league, I thought Rennes had the best crowd/athmosphere. Some nice long range shooting by Rennes, especially the first early goal by Blas was nice, there was some quite weird bend in it.

Ajax vs Marseille was entertaining with lots of goals, Ajax started better but Marseille fought back to earn a draw. I liked Kenneth Taylor, especially offensively, nice forward runs and could have scored at least one more.
