Definitely the most entertaining Union in the competition.

Tonight!

Arsenal playing their game against PSV postponed due to royalty issues
6pm in London, which makes... 1pm Eastern?

PSV playing for the draw. If Arsenal don’t win they will need a result in the Netherlands which means they will have to play their best squad. Which means more tired players for EPL match on Sunday

I already dont like how many first stringers we're having to wear out on this match, would hate to have to sub more on. Lots of teams' campaigns this year already getting hung on injuries

The commentary on CBS Sports/Paramount is so cringey.

Like that was a nice goal/strike by Xhaka, but if you listen to this announcer it's a goal of the century contender.

The good thing is that a fair amount of our first team likely won't be going to the WC. Odegaard, Zinchenko, and Tierney didn't qualify. Gabriel, Martinelli, and Jesus may or may not make Brazil's side, same goes with White and England. Ramsdale is looking like a back up. Sure, Xhaka, Partey, Saka, Tomiyasu, Turner, and maybe Saliba are looking to be starters or at least substantial players, but a lot of the team should get some time off. Also ESR should be coming back sooner or later

Also don't teams avoid the Champions League 3rd place teams if they finish 1st?

These thoughts have also crossed my mind when wondering whether the break could disrupt our rhythm, but other top teams stand to lose a lot more

ahh, didnt realise this, but that makes sense as theyve mentioned how much arteta wants to grab that top spot

The best comparison we have looking at what happens in Germany, but there, no one is playing in a World Cup. I would be a little more worried if we came out flat to start the season and then turned it up (like last season) but we didn't. And we'll have a pretty solid team to play friendlies with:

Martinelli - Jesus - Marquinhos
El Neny - Lokonga - Odegaard
Zinchenko - Gabriel - Holding/White - White/Soares
Hein

with Nelson, Vieira, Tierney, ESR, Nketiah all around as well

What a horrible punch by Ramsdale. Looks like PSV might beat us, which is no big deal because we should take care of business against Zürich but it would have been nice to play the kids.

Hot take, it's 0-0 with Turner in

Union SG with a cool 2-0 win in Sweden against Malmö and already confirmed to win the group with a game to spare.

We need to match Braga's result against Malmo to progress, so hopefully we can take advantage of Union SG having already advanced.
