He was always a 'quick' goalie. He lost half a step in his speed.
He will probably still be good in the ahl.

If he clears, they can agree to terminate the contract, and he'd be free to go.

if they sign Ramo is he allowed to have a conditioning stint in the minors? for a week. with only 2 games this week it would seem like a good time to sign Ramo send him to the minors to get a couple games in, give Bibeau some NHL cash for a week and be the backup.

Called up a few times but Bibeau's still yet to get in to his 1st NHL game. Think Ramo will end up as Enroth's replacement, but we'll see.

I would think some team would claim him. He has decent numbers when not expected to make huge saves half a dozen times a period.

Stajan's goal was the only true goal.

I bet they do that then. Why would he want to play AHL when he can go home put up good numbers in the SHL or Even KHL and then look to get back to the NHL that way

Got a back to back this weekend. I think Ramo will need a couple of weeks of conditioning in the AHL before he's ready guy hasn't played in a long time. Maybe Bibeau gets his first start on Sunday?

I wonder this as well. Enroth was signed late. Wonder if the Leafs basically said "hey, play with us until Ramo is ready, we'll then waive you and you can go to Europe $750,000 richer"

I don't think the NHL can do anything about it. Classify him as a coach if they want. He wasn't under contract.

Wonder if this was the plan all along? They just needed a stop-gap as Ramo gets back into game shape.
