Hockey's Mecca
If Babcock prefers big goalies, why didn't the Leafs just pick up Reto Berra on waivers at the beginning of the year instead of signing Enroth in the first place?

The present situation is the result of years of neglecting the position at the draft table, IMO. Sparks and Bibeau were the only draftees for far too many years and they were both late picks.
2013. Bibeau Rd 6
2011. Sparks. Rd 7

Before them you get to...
2008. Rollheiser Rd 7. ( for those who do not recognize this name, Rollheiser never even became anything more than a backup in college hockey)

Then we get back to 2004 and 05 when the Leafs did draft goalies. The last time the Leafs took and developed a goalie as early as the 3rd round, before this past draft, was Justin Pogge in 2004! He looked like such a good prospect, for a while, that the Leafs traded away 2005 1st rounder Tuuka Rask. Aargh!

Of course, the organization will have depth problems!

Taking Woll last draft was only a first step in the right direction
