Oil Kings won their first game of the season last night over Red Deer. They play their home opener tonight.

I had no idea they moved (again) to Washington until I just saw the logo and wondered if this was an expansion team. I thought they were playing in the MTS Center in Winnipeg lol.

oilkings started well this year but have fallen of a cliff.

The only teams doing well are the Golden Bears hockey (as usual) and football (for a change) teams. The football Bears are hosting a playoff game and the hockey Bears just swept the very good Calgary Dinos. Both teams are top-10 ranked; that’s common for the hockey team but rare for the gridiron boys.

Extraordinarily terrible. Had a decent start but dead last in the league now.

They’re picking up an 18, 16 and 15 year old so the guys they’re getting are going to be around for a while. The Sawchyn brothers are from Grande Prairie so they might have requested it as well.
