Lol seriously though, he stepped up tonight. I actually thought that play was gonna be dead when he didn't pass it to Geno in front of the net and instead went for a skate. But it ended well.

McGinn looked a lot more like I had imagined when we signed him. Kap turning a corner hopefully. Leave those two with 71 if Rak is toast.

That was the most insane game 1 I can remember.

Can we win if CDS is out for the series? Who the f knows. All I know is, that was a hell of a game.

Louis was the goalie that beat out CDS in camp and had 2 solid games even while being derailed between the 1st and 2nd game with injuries and being in the AHL.

We needed a split to get back home where Jarry could be ready. If we win Game 2, I'd maybe give Jarry Game 4 if he's ready or just do what we did when MAF kept winning until Murray needed to get in.

This isn't a bad thing IMO.

Domingue is definitely one of the more legit 3 string goalies one could have. He's played NHL games before and done fine in them. He's not a joke of a goalie.

But compared to Shesterkin....yikes. But it's playoff hockey and playoff hockey is stupid and sometimes the guy who is the most unanimous vezina winner in like 20 years loses to a third string goalie.

Just amazing. Simply amazing.

Jake Guentzel played his best game ever. Lots of guys to give credit to. Everyone really after something like this, even if I thought Erod was quite terrible, but Guentzel was sick.

Btw. I have never ever seen scoring chance stats like the 1st line had tonight. Just supreme domination. Scary that you gotta do THAT much to beat Shesterkin, but lets hope this takes something out of him.

You gotta wonder how our older team deals with the physical component of this also though.
