Springfield has some real big bodies in their line-up, particularly on defense. Every single one of their D is over 6' and over 200 lbs. Only Call Rosen is under 200 lbs. He's 6'1" and 186 lbs.

Matt Kessel & Tommy Cross are both: 6'3" & 201 lbs
Tyler Tucker: 6'1" & 203 lbs
Steven Santini: 6'2" & 202 lbs
Luke Witkowski: 6'2" & 216 lbs
Josh Wesley: 6'3" & 205 lbs
Griffin Luce: 6'3" & 217 lbs
Brady Lyle: 6'1" & 211 lbs
Calle Rosen: 6'1" & 186 lbs

Basically, they were able to use their big frames to mostly box the smaller Laval forwards out and neutralize a lot of their attacks. Laval still were able to get scoring chances, but didn't capitalize. That should still be something that encourages them and it will be up to them and the coaching staff to find a way to get through that big defense.

Better numbers than Primeau in these playoffs, 0.960 SV%.

Yea. Joel Hofer is 1st in GAA and SV% these playoffs. Primeau is 4th in both categories.

The two goalies in 2nd and 3rd only played 2 games these playoffs. And playing less games sometimes gives you good stats because you faced a lot of shots and made a lot of saves. Also, those two goalies are eliminated from the playoffs. So if Primeau continues his stellar play, he will move up in those stats.

Thx for posting...............Laval had a ton of scoring chances, and whiffed............back and forth, Primeau looked good..........looking like a long 6-7 game series.

They need to put the 2 Roy's in, sit Condotta and Abbandonato or whoever at this point since so many players are struggling to score so badly. RHP, Teasdale, Ylonen, etc... only 1 player in the last 7 games has scored more then 3 goals (Martel) and only 3 players in the last 7 games have scored more then 2 goals (Martel, Dea, Paquette). If they don't find someone to start putting pucks in the net they won't last very long in this series. Springfield has yet to lose a game in the playoffs, though we didn't look overmatched at all and were right there with them all night in fact I could say we were the better team for a good of the game considering we were the road team.
