If true, the Rangers gave up one of the most promising offensive prospects they've had in quite a while, for a guy who is probably the best offensive D we've had since Leetch left. Massive trade. Clearly this team is pulling out all the stops to win this year, but man, does this ever make that Boyle signing look bad.

When we won in 94, we traded away Gartner, Weight, and Amonte building that team.

You have to make sacrifices. I'm not happy about losing Duke either but you have to a pay a price.

This move gives us probably the best top 4 D in the league.

McD - Girardi
Staal - Yandle
Boyle - Klein

That's an INSANELY good defense.

Duclair is the piece that makes the most sense. Reunited with Domi, doesn't impact the current roster negatively. I'm OK with it if there are indications that Buchnevich is coming over. Still waiting to hear what kind of picks are involved.
