Instead of buying the Islanders and trying to make them good, buy the Rangers and try to make them bad. It's brilliant, really.

Kinda like those AT&T commercials with the cute little kids...it's not complicated.

Hire Glen Sather, leave him alone to run the team, and mediocrity is sure to follow. It really is brilliant! Never knew Jimmy-Boy had a good idea in him...

Seriously, that's your spin on the third period? A small burst in the beginning of the third? The Ducks DOMINATED the third until well after the midway mark.

Maybe the "small" was unnecessary, they pinned us down in our own end badly twice in the first third of the third period, but then had basically nothing until the final minute of the game. Hardly most of the third.

I'm not debating that the Ducks had some control of the game, but they also spent most of it in their own zone. Some seem to think we were dominated from start to finish, which obviously wasn't the case. We were dominated from start to finish by the Sharks, big difference.

The Ducks were at the end of a road trip.
Played great in the first, in one of the league's toughest buildings.
Got pretty dominated in the 2nd, especially the second half.
Came out in the third and gained early momentum.
Home team, in a building like MSG should be able to
blast the road team early.
Ducks just came out ready, and took advantage of an early gift.

What the heck was the beer league moves at the end of the game
with the too many men??:amazed:

Since when is MSG one of the league's toughest buildings? MSG Network is really doing a great job with their marketing.

If you read the smashville article it says 4% of the players surveyed said MSG was the toughest arena to play in. I would not be using that link to prove your point.

Geez. Sorry, one page Google search.
Okay, the Ducks were at the end of a long road trip, against a
team that had turned their tough start around, and had a few
wins in a row.
Came out for the third period after having a tough 2nd, and finished off
a great road trip, in the newly renovated (not toughest) MSG
Is that ok?
I forgot about the stringent HFBoards fact checking requirements
