The only one I want back is Kulemin and even then I want 30 goal Kulemin back but I think that was just an anomoly. He's still a great possession player though and good defensively and on the boards.

The rest are all expendable if you ask me.

i liked how bodie was physical and thought kuli didn't get a fair shot, and jmac was overused. beyond that, i hope we don't resign the others.

What are your guys obsession with Bodie? I thought he sucked. Ranger sucked too. They can both GTFO. You guys watching the same team I was? Bodie is a 4th line scrub who can run into the boards with the best of them.

Ranger turned the puck over so much the rubber wore away before he shot it out of the rink.

I thought Bodie would definitely be back. That's the type of depth player we need to sign and he even did well on the third line.

Let's hope this is the start of a youth movement mixed with a Dan Boyle signing.

Until the end of the season when Ranger actually started to play well. On a low cap hit he's a decent bottom pairing D-man.

We can replace Bodie and Ranger internally.

McClement was a disaster last year, after being a major surprise during the lockout year. He can go. His PK will have to be replaced by a UFA.... Komarov or Moore would be my targets.

As for Kulemin and Raymond, id much rather have them than Bolland. Bolland will command too high a price. If I could sign one of them (either or) at 3 years 3m per I would honestly do it. Preferably Kulemin who can be a 3rd/4th line center, 2nd line wing, good on the PK

Bodie will be back. He's got the right guy on speed dial...

For the rest? Just call it the 'Clarkson Premium.'

I agree. Not to mention he'd probably sign cheap as long as he gets his NMC/NTC. He was crap for the first half of the season, but what do people really expect when the guy hadn't played in the NHL in years? It takes time to shake off the rust.

But once Carlyle decided to give him a second chance during the latter half of the season, Ranger impressed the hell out of me. That game in Anaheim, he was the best d-man on the ice. He stopped so many plays, always got the puck out of the zone, was physical... He was awesome that night. I think he really found his groove when Carlyle started running with 7 d-men. If Ranger could play somewhere around 15 minutes a game, he'd be great.

IMO, getting rid of Cody "Captain Minus" Franson is the most important thing. All this talk about "He's a PP specialist" means crap when he's coughing up the puck at the blueline, and giving the other team breakaways. Furthermore, don't even get me started on his godawful d-zone play.

The Leafs should keep Ranger if they can. He's got far more experience than the Marlies do, he'd work well in a pinch if someone gets injured, and they can scale back his minutes if a younger player deserves more time on ice. More than anything (money, contract term, etc.), Ranger just wants to play, and play close to home.

Yes buddy!

The first half of the season he was junk, but he eventually came into his own and got his game back. Franson was a flat out disaster last year.

Or maybe we want to replace them internally because you know....we have players who can replace them? Why spend money needlessly

D'Amigo , Holland , Granberg, Percy , Finn , Brennan , Ashton , Leivo , Ross , Biggs etc can replace bottom line guys. Thats why they were acquired through FA , trade or drafting

It is rather curious how all these players who have career years BEORE they sign in Toronto end up being garbage the second they throw on a Leafs uniform.

Why would we let our best PK forward leave? Why? And Bodie would make such a great fourth liner! WHY???

Yeah its very important to keep our "best" penalty killer on our 29th ranked pk, he's doing a great job of it.

But seriously, he is the one wanting to leave, its not the leafs letting him go.

Ranger made progress at the end of the season...not to say he'd continue to be serviceable but when we collapsed he often had strong games.

Bodie was a solid 4th liner, surprised we can't hang onto him for <$1 million.

Kulemin will be missed too but is fairly easily replaceable at this stage in his career. Solid defensively but offensively he's quite lacking. 20 points in 70 games isn't good enough.

Would have liked to give McClement one more year to see if he could rebound from a horrible season. But I couldn't care less to see any of these guys go.

Love you Kulemin. You inspired my name on here. But you are a shade of what you used to be.

He was also the best penalty killer on the 2nd best PK in 2012-13.

A year ago I would have agreed with that statement, but after watching this year, especially the last couple of months carefully, I really wonder whether Komarov and Kulemin were our PK anchors that year.

Komarov especially.

Given Dreger's recent track record, I'm surprised you folks think he's going to be right 5 out of 5 times.

I spoke to McClement on Saturday at his cousin's wedding in Kingston. He is 100% not coming back to the Leafs, unfortunately.
