Key areas of need.
LD - Getting Hughes takes the heat off the rest of the draft. Also drafted a long term project in Harding, a 6'7 college-bound kd.
Center - Getting Raty and Svechkov is just killer luck. Reminds me of Veleno, Berggren, McIsaac all falling to Holland. Both guys are legit top 6 C prospects.
Goal: Gaudreau is the highest rated. But Vrbetiic and Boyko are giants - more projects.
Depth forwards - Colton Dach sure looks like he should be a Rasmussen type guy. At worst. Red Savage is the kind of C/LW Yzerman loves to take. Dower-Nilsson might also be in that vein. Vaisanen is more of a big, scoring winger, if he pans out.

I've worked a couple drafts as LA. Really changes the pattern. You become accustomed to where these guys fall very easily and game the software. So you know the guys you want in the places you want them.
So I always draft Dach, or Savage, or Dower-Nilsson, in the same places. Boyko, too.

As LA's GM, with some slightly different needs (no need for Cs), I feel lost.
