I get the Suzuki and KK experience and being good for their development part but don't really get what Lebrun is getting at with the rest of these tweets. So does that mean the Habs are gonna give extensions to all their upcoming potential UFA's to try and keep this core together? Good for attracting UFA's?

Reality is they only had a chance at the playoffs this season because the NHL were desperate and wanted the Habs in because of their huge fanbase for TV interest (same with Hawks) but they would've missed the playoffs for the 4th time in 5 years if not for the shortened reg season.

Winning this play in series still doesn't change the fact that this current Habs team were still the 24th place team in the NHL last season with 11 games to go and were on their way to missing the playoffs for the 3rd straight season and 4 out of the last 5 seasons.
