Nico played 23 minutes?!?!?
Anyone remember when the guy couldn't finish a shift without looking like he was in labor?
Its weird that people are crapping on Geersten dressing and then complaining about the 3 minutes of ice time he got.
He didn't have enough ice time to screw things up and it means the top players get to play more.
Because he’s taking a spot from a better player. Its weird that people are crapping on Geersten dressing and then complaining about the 3 minutes of ice time he got.

lol Faceoffs are not a good measureA measurement I use to determine how well a team is playing is Face Off Wins. Game 1 48.2% and Game 2 48.7%, not very good. Tonight they get a break, Hughes was out of the game but in Game 1 Hughes only had 4/11 so it is a team problem that needs to get fixed.
“Day-to-day” means jackshit (no pun intended) coming from the Devils. Taylor Hall was “day-to-day” in 2018-19 and we all know how that turned out. We still can’t get a straight answer about Miles Wood.
Hope for the best but expect the worst.
What a wild game to be at, felt like a throwback with all the scraps!
The refs absolutely lost control of the game early and you could tell the calls were not going to be of the consistent variety. Really hope Jack is alright as that looked like a really rough landing.
Chose Mercer, Nico and Graves. Mercer for the obvious, Nico for being an absolute horse and Graves for continuing to be a rock back there. His passing is an underrated quality, feel like he is a really calm presence back there.
Johnsson has maybe been our best player thus far, and I hope he just keeps it up. Extremely happy to eat crow because I was one of the many that just wrote him off.
Those saying Geersten is no deterrent have never stepped on the ice, I'd guess. Granted, I like what Siegs stepped up and did, and how Graves handled himself better - but... I'm pretty sure if the linesmen let Geersten and Lauzon fight, that Lauzon might not have been in the lineup the next game or at least would probably think twice before running a player.
What should we do then? Just trade Nico, Bratt and Jack now because they'll all end up playing just 21 games a year after getting repeatedly smashed? It is really either that, or Jack just becomes a perimeter player and never goes into the corners or in front of the net - and becomes less effective as a result.
Gretzky didn't take a pee without McSorley around. I'm pretty sure that's at least part of why he didn't spend that much time wearing casts, because he'd be the first guy I would've pounded into the boards if I had a chance.
I'm one of those as well.
I was like "WHAT IS THIS SORCERY??? ANDREAS JOHNSSON WITH TWO GOOD GAMES IN A ROW WHERE HE'S NOT A BLACK HOLE???"
I hope to continue to shove crow down my throat every game if he keeps this up.
That's why I put him in as one of my stars in the Poll.
The other two is Mercer(of course) *AND* once again....Mr. f'n BERNIER.
He's definitely the best Backup Goaltender we've ever had, imo.
Ya 2 good points here.
1)Hit was clean
&
2)Geersten isn't all that tough.
That said, while I don't much want Geersten in the lineup, I do like when someone responds to a big hit.
A shoulder injury like that totally depends on the severity and beyond that on how well it heals and how the player feels. Just how it is. Could be a week could be a month.
If it was a broken bone or a tear they would be using different language.
His season is most likely not in jeopardy and the folks claiming our whole season was over were badly overreacting.
this is the Johnsson those of us defending him and pointing to his advanced stats saw coming. He had seriously shitty luck last year. And not having enough time to truly practice and get a new system down def didn’t do him any favors.
Have stepped on the ice plenty of times and I promise you that having Geersten on the ice is not a deterrent at all. He really can’t hurt you that much. Even if you drop the gloves it’s pretty easy to come out without taking many if any punches if you really don’t want to. Suspensions are a much bigger deterrent for dirty hits. Those saying Geersten is no deterrent have never stepped on the ice, I'd guess.
