I think it’s still Marino, but they shouldn’t be paired with each other. I would be more comfortable with Luke-Marino and Smith-Bahl.

Obviously happy they are getting wins...but giving up 3 goals a game and winning because your PP is unstoppable...this is not a sustainable winning formula, ask the Oilers and Rangers over the last few years. I'd put our team squarely in pretender category right now. The longer this goes on the more likely the actual W/L results will start to even out. Heading into the playoffs like this would have first round sweep written all over it.

I think this is overstating it.

For one, it's still less then 10 games at the start of the season.

Secondly, we could absolutely win a round or even two.

I do agree, we are not playing what I would call Stanley Cup caliber hockey. But I would direct you back to my first point above.

I didn't haven't a problem with the first 2 but the 3rd one made me think he was intentionally throwing.

Luke with 5 SOG tonight and he led the team in TOI tonight with just over 22:00. Kid just turned 20. Having Jack and him for years to come is so exciting.

It was a deflection up top, that then deflected off the end of his stick. Weird goal, but I wouldn't call it atrocious.

To the eye test the game looked pretty solid for NJ. We had control of the game for a lot of time segments. It only really got dicey near the end when Minn got that 3rd goal and was pressurizing until their penalty parade at end.

That 3rd was a fluke thing. It looks worse because we see he was going to stop it with his leg - then his stick directed it in. Think about how odd that is to actually happen.

But that's the point. It's pretty difficult to sustain this kind of offense for an entire season. And it would be totally delusional to think it would hold up in the playoffs.

Most games I feel like the result has gone as expected too. I think they should've won the Caps game but also lost the Sabres game so those even out anyway. Even probably stole a pt in the Yotes game (should've stole 2)
