I wish him the best. Being loaded doesn’t have anything to do with your pride and worth as a man. Good guy and was a good goalie until his hips went. However, I also agree with the move. Now get rid of Hynes.
Single handedly is hyperbole - hockey is not the kind of sport where one player can really do that. But he did very clearly have a MASSIVE influence on how much winning this team mustered up during a time when the defense on paper was not significantly better than what we iced during Cory’s supposed “great” years. It seems it is you that is overlooking Devils history here.
Someone will give him a chance, and he might have to be willing to go the AHL route to prove himself, but he will definitely get a PTO from somewhere.Assuming he gets bought out and doesn’t retire, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Jets give him a PTO next year. He has very close ties to the organization from his time with the Moose.
If we want to say for his era, and we define elite as top 5, then I think it's a fair assertion.I’m sorry but I just can’t help but laugh at this assertion. “Elite”
Don't know if I'm considered one of his supporters because I see a possibility of him turning it around, but Cory being sent to the AHL doesn't change my opinion, in fact I thought it was the logical move if the hope is for him to turn it around.Late to the party but :
It had to be done.
Mainly 'cause Cory was DONE.
there were a few supporters here remaining but the team and management have seen enough.
Don't get me wrong here.
Cory is a wonderful human being but he is no longer capable of giving the Devils a chance(forget the best chance..) to win Hockey games anymore.
It's that simple.
This is Blackwood's team now.
Ya, people are acting like the Devils waiving him, with the intent of sending him to the AHL, is the equivalent of giving him his unconditional release.it won't happen but can you imagine if he got conditioned and came back and played really good? what a waste of time this thread would've been eh

It won't matter because the same schmohawks in here will still be spewing the garbage they've done today. Someone literally said Schneider cost is a good goalie in Kinkaid. On what planet is that close to being true? It's hard to believe that some of these people actually believe what they're posting and not just being instigators.it won't happen but can you imagine if he got conditioned and came back and played really good? what a waste of time this thread would've been eh

Shmohawks? Maybe Schmohawks?

guaranteed, since he'll be the first call up in an injury situation, unless domingue ends up being a solid goalie in tandem, in which case, it's a good thing. He is going to start another game at some point this year
There's a non-zero chance Cory starts again but I'd hardly think it's likely at this point. It'd be either because Blackwood got hurt or Domingue bombed. And that's assuming Cory's playing well and doesn't get hurt himself in Bingo.
If he plays well enough with Bing.He is going to start another game at some point this year
The fact that someone is saying Schneider "cost" us Kinkaid should tell us all we need to know at this point. This thread is a joke.
Imagine (God forbid) three years in the future, Jack Hughes gets hit by a car and can't play hockey ever again.
Like half of this board would be like "See, we should've taken Kakko!"
