2022 Cup to Calgary
It really is.

Considering whom the Devils were facing, I wouldn't be all THAT impressed if I was a Flames fan despite the victory.

Hi, Flames fan.

This wasn't supposed to be a statement game.

It was supposed to be the 2nd night of a B2B, 3rd in 4 nights game, after putting in 3 on a pretty physical and tough to score on Islanders team the night bedore.

And the Mueller injury kind of kills anyone's desire to run up the score.

Anyways i was just here to give props to Blackwood. Looks like a keeper.

I assumed (admittedly not from watching any Bingo) that Bastian's skating was going to keep out of the big league a la Reid Boucher bad he hasn't looked bad. Not sure if he has a ceiling higher than bottom 6 but its something I guess.

Is there a single game the rest of the season where you could honestly say the Devils should be favored to win? We're through with LA (who did just kill us themselves) and Ottawa so probably not. Seven of the next nine on the road against almost all tough teams could get really ugly.

With this lineup? Hell no. With some more bodies back? Still probably not, but there might be a few in there.

Schedule is pretty brutal next month other than against Detroit.

The Mueller thing not withstanding, he's not wrong. Why the **** should a weary flames team give a damn about playing us? They won without even trying and while being totally gassed. Every good team has games where they play way down to the level of their competition. It in no way indicates their odds of playing well or poorly against good teams. You'd have to watch them play good teams to judge what their team really is.

Ugh...we still have two games left against both Washington and Boston next month, who we lose to even with an actual NHL roster, plus a western Canadian road trip added in there as well.

Seven of the next nine on the road no less...seven of eight after Friday including the six-game road trip nobody cares about now but if we were on the bubble would end our season just like last year :sarcasm:

Stop. You are bending so far backwards for them. Flames played a bad game, and our AHL roster simply wasn’t as bad as the pregame hyperbole as per usual.

ya. missed that during the game

watching the presser, he made a joke about it not being a coffee stain

Missed it, because they didn't even mention it on the MSG broadcast...

Shell shocked by all the injuries last bunch of games, I think they were.. No wonder KPalms was frothing mad at end of previous game, he was legit injured by that dickhead.

Of course he's wrong.

The Devils started 10....... let that sink in a bit...... TEN.......players from their AHL team, and the Flames barely hung on to win the game.

Also, check out Calgary's record against Eastern playoff seeded teams this year (mere .500), it aint pretty for the top team in the West. The Western Conference is trash.

So you're saying that if Mueller didn't get hurt, the Flames would've run up the score?

Come on, man.. Don't be coming in other team's GDT saying things like that.

I would check the Washington and Boston games as auto loses. Maybe the one Jackets game. St. Louis as well.

Rest is against mediocre to bad teams so who knows. Depends who is back by then.

It can’t be overstated how absolutely shit the west is this year. Especially the Pacific. Some west teams are being propped up by easy schedules.
