If there's one thing Nas deserves blame for it's the fact that he keeps going with Palmieri in the shootouts.

They even asked him about it the last time in the post game and he said something like ''He was hot and scored tonight'' or something. I think he scored in that game. And maybe that's why he used him again tonight....

Zacha was a good choice, but that was definitely a top-5 blooper reel shootout attempt in Devils history.

As much as I like seeing Bratt get the 1st star, I can't help but wonder that if it wasn't for Dad's night and Merkley doing his thing, that Bratt would've been the 2nd Star and Blackwood the first.

He's actually doing better than I thought he would as a starter.

And I only briefly (maybe in the first week or two of the season) lost confidence that he'd be the better goalie/best goalie on the team this year. I was pretty adamant that he'd be the best goalie on the team from about March of last year, when it seemed a lock that it would be Blackwood/Schneider as a tandem.

Me too man. One of Blackwoods biggest supporters on here. I thought Blackwood should have started game one over Cory.

I'm really hoping our fate with Blackwood will be different than Schneider. Blackwood is younger and the core is younger than Schneiders prime though.
