There will be nights they look every bit as bad as you expect. There will also be nights, like last night, they somehow find a way to win even with that meh group.

I wonder if there are any more Subbans out there? Guys who are overpaid but can still play even if they aren’t what they used to be? I wouldn’t package multiple picks for those guys but if they have two or three years left on a deal and they can be had for a B prospect and a third that may work as a stopgap for a spot or two while the young players develop. Subban is at least an NHL defender even if overpaid. I’d play him over Butcher and Mueller for example.
