Yes it’s the Hockey night in Canada showcase game .
I am just about to leave to drive to Calgary
Go Devils Go !
My and my brother are sitting 4 seats over from the Devils tunnel to dressing room .
Somewhat close to the Devils bench

I am taking bets now to get me to do this at the game when I’m there :

That was actually at a Flames game . I have to continue my tradition and do it again tonight ! It’s the National game ! I have to ! I’m close enough to the glass where I think I can make it that far before security grabs me .

It depends on what cable packages you have and or what region you live in for what the Hockey Night In Canada late game is .

This is the first season in awhile where I am nervous (excited ) before a game. Before it was mkre “Please don’t get blown out and look bad , just try hard please “
or “As long as Bratt Hughes Mercer Nico get points and improve their game , that’s what matters , not wins or loses “

I really want to win this, but not as much as I want to win the Calgary game at home. We always lose to them.

Not every game has been a weird, demoralizing beat down but a lot have been that. Time to turn that around too.

9-4 in March 2019 @Calgary was, to put it mildly, not good and Blackwood was in net for all 9 goals.

So if you were wondering why he played in Edmonton, that was probably why. He sure as shit wasn’t playing in Calgary and Ruff didn’t want to have to play Vanecek coming off a bad performance.

The last time we beat them was a 2-1 win in Calgary on January 13, 2017 with Kinkaid in the net.

In the OS, I was hoping for Stone as a cheap vet 3rd RD option and Smith traded for Necas or any FWD help.

Little did I know Fitz would pull the Marino trick and that the guy would end up being able to pass the biscuit like Isotoner Dan.

Bahl has the height advantage and I assume the reach. I'm hoping having him on the ice will be more a deterrent more then anything. I'm guessing Bastian, Zetterlund, Haula, and Smith could do the job to.
