I hope everyone appreciates what we have in Blackwood, considering how many teams struggle to find good goaltending. Still early in his career of course but he looks to be a legit top goalie in the league at 24. He'll be our backbone for many a years to come.

He reminds me a lot of Lemaire when he came to the rescue in 2010-2011 and got the guys to loosen up and just start having fun again, and that team was an absolute joy to watch a lot like this one is.

Funny how they both had a reputation as a grumpy old dude but are actually enthusiastic and playful and great for young players.

Been noticing that too. Just so happens every time we win a game it’s because their team wasn’t trying and had no effort. Ok.

This is something we were on the other end of for years. Teams with a good plan and good speed tend to make the other team look slow and get frustrated as a result. Our best asset this year has been that every line has one guy who can just take control of the puck and a plan to help him do it.

Seems like the Devils not matter if they win or lose are just always going at 100%. Which makes them a hard team to deal with night in and night out. Early but thats one of the biggest differences. They are always going no matter the situation. Always moving there feet, battling for pucks, aggressive on the forecheck when they can be. Those are things we didnt see night in and night out the past few seasons.

Even if you lose games like that you still dont feel bad haha.
