Well the Devils deserved that win. Clearly outplayed the Oilers in this game. Mclellan will need to get back to the drawing board.
The toilet is overflowing at this point.Same ****, different toilet.
Maybe because with the exception of a few deck chairs shuffled at the bottom of the roster its exactly the same team?I don't understand how a team full of highly paid professionals can have a season like the last one, take a whole summer to reset, and come out looking EXACTLY THE SAME.

RNH was pretty useless, that's for sure. Hope it's just one game.RNH and Puljujarvi completely invisible, not a peep.
Draisaitl 2 points, torn apart in every other post.
But this board doesnt play favorites or turn it's stars into whipping boys.

Edmonton can't make an outlet pass to save their lives and so they insist on using the dump and chase despite not having a forward lineup homogoneously fast enough to pressure the defense or goalie when they're first to the puck. Basically can't gain the zone at all unless it's McDavid or the Nuge carrying it on the rush.
They need some trades and a new coach with a new system, because this year will be the same as last year otherwise.
I think Benning was the difference today. Upgrade him to a legit NHL Dman and we would have won.
Coaching was the other big difference esp line combos
