The fact that we have Adam Larsson makes me so happy. I never got to see a Devils defenseman grow into a star I only saw Neids and Stevens when they were already beasts. Hopefully we'll all get to see Larsson progress into a star player.

That's a good point. I became a Devils fan when the legendary defence was already established. Larsson is an exciting player for me because I can see him progressing into the #1 we need before my eyes. He's already our #2, riding shotgun on a pairing with Greene.

Were we even trapping tonight? Most of these fans don't know what the trap is. We haven't played the trap regularly in 10 years aside from Lemaire's season and a half. And no Julien was a piss poor example of a trapping team. Sutter definitely didn't trap.

We did a little bit in the middle ten minutes of the third while protecting the lead, but in the last five minutes we started up the heavy forecheck again.

Back to back wins, we played the trap in both games :)sarcasm:), James Neil is the biggest ***** in hockey (loved his retaliation penalty he took on A-Train after getting crushed in the corner and looking for a penalty, wich he does 99% of the time he get's hit) and what can be said about Moose, he's just fantastic.

**** You Pens !!!

What I don't get about teams complaining that we "play the trap", is that it happens only when their team loses but when they win, no one mentions how we "play the trap".

Oh yeah, if it's so effective and get's results on the board, why doesn't everyone "play the trap"... after all, something so boring shouldn't be too hard to replicate, right?

:sarcasm:

If anyone wants to call our team a trapping team then fine. We are essentially a TRAP team. We can call it the offensive zone trap. Or the opposition can call it the defensive zone trap if they'd like.

Agree, we should embrace the word and let people know how much we love to watch our Devils trap teams in our own offensive end giving them Clarkarounds and Kovalblasts and depth scoring from Bryce Salvador playoff magic and the other Gionta.

Ya the Devils trap! Aww you're bored cause the devils won't stop reigning shots on your goalie? Aww the devils keep cycling in your end? Waaa the forecheck ate your baby??? Ya you're trapped! Pew pew!

Penguins fans get confused when they lose and it wasn't on purpose, let them be.

I still think it's funny Pens fans are crying about the refs not calling everything just a day after they were *****ing about everything being called.

The Elias line is flat out wrecking people right now. Such a fun line to watch. Absolutely dominating the cycle.

Those boring devils, trapping the pens in their offensive zone for so long. Boring...

The Larsson/ Greene pairing is outstanding..

That actually is kind of funny considering he was complaining about that and Yeo may not survive the season.
What`s even funnier is that Minny had "the old" Lemaire (I`m sure you know why I said that), Todd Richards and Mike Yeo.

He was complaining, got literally everything he wanted and left... for money and his BFF.

You know what... I did see one instance of the Devils trapping yesterday. They had a good forcheck going and lost the puck in the Pens zone. Josefson skated his face off and backchecked so hard he beat all of the Pens forwards back to the center line and we had all five forwards back.

Will he be here for awhile, though? We all know Lou's penchant/modus operandi on this in the past for giving the heave-ho without warning. :(

there hasn't been a coach here thats given off more of a "Lou's guy" vibe then PDB in a LONG time, possibly since lemaires first go around.

wholeheartedly agree. I love seeing clarkson and elias together. I’d love to try:

Kovy (LEFT WING) Elias (c) Clarktard (rw)

just to see.

larsson and greene have been unreal. its like those two have finally made up the gap left from niedssomebrotherlyballs and stevens. and larsson, hopefully, will only continue to improve.

I remember the suicide watch from the usual gang going on when greene was resigned for that cap hit. don’t hear too much of that anymore these days

we may have the best goaltending tandem in the league now, as long as marty stays consistent.

When Bylsma was first hired, the Penguins played the trap every game on their way to a Stanley Cup.

If there's one franchise I wont entertain trap talk from, it's them.

Everytime fans of the other team say that we trap, I know it's just hatred and they wont/can't admit that we are better then them. Don't forget my friends, the winner of a battle/war is always the one who writes/makes history.

lets make history!

How great is it to have a coach, a coach you know will be here for a while. Good luck with the carousel Parise.

At what point do people start questioning Parise's wisdom in leaving a team that clearly would have been heavy favorites to win the cup if he stuck around. I see nothing from the Wild thay would suggest they are anywhere near a cup run in the near future.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

This is all it was about.

Forget even the Suter-thing. If Suter wasn't involved, Pari$e STILL would've taken the money. If the Minny brass were going to be dumb enough to overpay, Zach would've been an idiot for refusing.
