Some of you guys are overeating Nylander. Especially at those prices.
Nevermind it doesn't address the real holes on the team.
what are we doing?

Yeah, he's been a disappointment but he's an NHLer. Should be able to lead a strong 4th line when the time comes. What are your guys opinion on McLeod? He's been a disappointment since he has been drafted (injuries haven't helped)

I'm sure he's not off limits, if that's what you mean.Is he available for trade?
Eat as much as you like. I prefer HymanI will eat as much Nylander as I want, damn it.
Dunn is definitely at top 4 defenseman. My only gripe is that he is more of what we have already, undersized offensive minded and a bit of a mess in his own zone. This is according to blues fans description of him. So maybe he could be as good as Vatanen for us? Idk maybe we could just bring vats back in the off-season and keep the draft picks. I really want to get a big and decent defensive defenseman. We need some size back there. Also on edmundson he has really looked lost this year even in his own end. He does not look like the same player that he was in St. Louis to me

I think a lot of people are willing to give McLeod another shot to stick in NJ, but if you have a young defenseman with NHL potential you're willing to swap him for I'd certainly listen. Is he available for trade?
Oh don’t get me wrong he would be our best defenseman with severson. I just feel we lack size and physicality and Dunn is another offensive minded, undersized defenseman in my opinion. Would still love to get himCan see your point in terms of playing style but wouldn't put any of the current Devils defensemen in Dunn's class in terms of ability (unless perhaps PK can resurrect his game).
Walman in the Blues' system is also worth a look if he is available.
This joke could get you a knock on your door depending on your age...Eat as much as you like. I prefer Hyman
Elliotte Friedman mentioning that it's possible that Edmonton doesn't qualify Andreas Athanasiou, not sure if he'd be of interest to us if he hits the open market.
So Friedman confirmed “New Jersey appealed to the NHL about this, saying Return to Play guidelines devalued the Devils’ return in the original trade” in regards to the ARI pick. Does this mean the league is still deciding on this?
The quote reads to me like it’s over but it’s ambiguous. The league announced a bunch of trade tweaks already so I would have expected it announced then; unless the league told the Devils to wait to see if it mattered.

25. The optimist is thrilled because New Jersey has three first-rounders in a deep draft: theirs, Arizona’s and Vancouver’s. The pessimist thinks: Man, we could have done better. Arizona’s first-rounder in the Taylor Hall deal was top-three protected, and the Coyotes’ victory over Nashville erased the Devils’ possibility of a second lottery selection. (New Jersey appealed to the NHL about this, saying Return to Play guidelines devalued the Devils’ return in the original trade.)
As for the Canucks’ selection, I’m betting Jersey would have happily gambled to see what occurred next season. If Vancouver missed the playoffs this season, the Devils got their number one next year no matter what.
I dont get what Friedman is saying we were denied a second lotto pick? There was no way we kept the pick if Arizona lost to Nashville and then moved up. What was devalued on that end?
