Yes, it's a pick for losing someone that doesn't cost the other team anything. It's done in MLB and NFL. This situation is also unprecedented so it's not much to ask for unprecedented rulings. The NHL would never do it but it makes a ton of sense. You screwed us with your halfassed "playoff" round that counts but doesn't so the least you can do is compensate us accordingly. Still wouldn't equal the cost of moving back from 9 to 18 in a trade lol.whats a compensation pick?? isnt that a pick from the other team for compensation? Im confused
Do you mean add a 32nd draft pick to a round? That ultimately drops everyone one spot - has this ever been done?
