coleman absolutely hit a wall after carrying this team for large stretches of the year. wanting him off the team is one of the dumbest things i’ve seen here in a while, and that’s saying a lot

Jesus Christ, glad I missed that take while it was going on.

@Emperoreddy summed it up perfectly. Is it possible that, oh I don't know, Coleman being the focal point of the offense is going to cause him to struggle? Because as things stand, him and Bratt are our most impactful wingers that were healthy going into the last game. And now, he is the most impactful winger assuming Bratt doesn't dress tomorrow.

He's in a role that is above him unfortunately. He is absolutely one of the last players that deserves any flak from anybody. And I take his recent uptick in penalties taken as him trying to do too much, anyway. Give me 12 Colemans at forward if possible. Even if the Top Line of Colemans doesn't produce as much, the bottom 9 Colemans will drive the opposing team bonkers and produce just fine.

Yeah, let's tear apart one of our only remaining NHL forwards that plays all situations and literally had the team on his back for part of this season.

Just lock this thread and start another one.

Did you really think this would go over well? Do you honestly believe these posts?

if i had to guess, and give him the benefit of the doubt, i’d say he’s looking at coleman like brian gibbons and thinking it was just a flukey run he was on. which in fairness it could very well be, but obviously we don’t want to get rid of the guy for hitting a wall

Bratt out week to week, Nico not making the trip to Washington. Palms may be back soon since he's practicing, but my word is the injury streak we got going ridiculous. I'm a for the tank guy, but I would like at least to see at least some of our top players out there.

Has anyone been called up for the Bratt injury? Seney? Studenic? Tangradi? Or is it 7D time?

Just looked and there are literally 7 forwards left to call up.

Sharangovich
Studenic
Seney
Speers
Gignac
Baddock
Tangradi

Everyone else is AHL contracts/can't be called up. Baddock may actually play in the NHL by the end of the year. Sweet Jesus.

I just don’t understand praying that Severson be traded because he’s playing too big of a role on the defense. He is. He is leading the whole team in even strength TOI. He’s facing top competition and has 60 dZS%. He is essentially being used as a number 1 defenseman. And he’s getting pretty okay results on a god awful team. He’s not getting Santini’d. The results have been fine. That should be fairly encouraging.

He probably should be a number 3 or 4 and that’s okay. He isn’t being paid like a top pairing guy and he’s 24. I just don’t get it.

Studenic is hurt too. And I'm not even kidding.

Since my Bratt thread is locked ( :puppy: ), I'll just post here.

Yes, it was already stated but I'm posting it again 'cause I feel like it :

Week-To-Week is code for "Out for the Season".

With just less than 15 games remaining, I don't think there's any point to have him come back (as much I want him to).

Oh and btw, Happy Birthday, Steven Santini!!!! Here's your gift :

Agree, early in the season I argued against the idea that Sev's was playing as well as anyone in the league, that was definitely a stretch.

But right now, a 24 year old d-man who is playing tough minutes alongside an aging partner, and is producing pretty well offensively is not a guy I'm looking to trade.

AND, this is something we should appreciate this season, and something that maybe Greene does not get enough credit for, Sev's has not missed a game this season, and over the last 4 seasons is averaging 76 games played.

During a tank season, I'd at least like to see the young guys play, so not only our top guys like Hall and Palms, or our top young guys like Nico and Bratt, but also Wood, Zacha, Mueller, Bastian.

It's pretty bizarre.

Actually he doesn't play all situations, and this certainly pertains to his scoring drought, but he doesn't play on the PP.

But he is a very good defensive fwd, is an excellent pk'r and at 5v5 is 2nd on the team in shots per 60.

Mile Wood who leads the team in shots per 60 at 5v5 is also on Hidden Hair's trading block.
