He's like the Devils 2018-19 season. Started with a lot of promise and then quickly faded away to being irrelevant.

Would playing Smith factor into the expansion draft? If so I’d prefer to hold off on playing him.

No. Nobody playing now will burn a year of eligibility. Have to play more than 9 games in a season to burn it and we have less than 9 left this season. Will be like nothing happened.
Then can he play for Spokane and NJ at the same time? Not that NJ is desperate or anything but Connor Carrick is the LD2.
When a player is returned to their junior team (Ty Smith was returned to juniors on September 28th) they are not eligible to play in the NHL until their junior season is over.

Butcher's "illness" is that he looked at our roster and started puking uncontrollably.
I believe there are some exceptional circumstances where a junior player can be recalled temporarily, but I don't know what they are and if that changed with the new CBA.

They did get Carrick back for LovejoYouy.
And I’d rather get no players back than have to take back Dalton Prout with term beyond this year.
Zacha plays better with scrubs than with top 6 forwards.Well, I will say Zacha has a real chance to stand out in this lineup.

Didn't blackwood play there? The Adirondack Thunder. It mostly seems like a place to send extra goalies.
It would appear he did. 5 games last year.Didn't blackwood play there?
Footage from the 3rd period vs. Calgary would likely satisfy the 'emergency' standard
Like that Seinfeld episode where the panel is in tears after hearing George's life story, compelled to pity him even more than the Andrea Doria survivor

I was watching Office reruns the night of that Calgary game. Kevin spilling the chili almost coincided with the collapse. Seemed like a fitting metaphor for the season.
