anyway, I'm not holding my breath as far as this team going on a Lemaire-like Run circa 2011 but as long as they win another game, it's nice to dream.

Team is more fun to watch right now win or lose. Odds are it leads us no where but the lotto, but it's still more fun then tanking.

They play more like this I'll actually go to a few more games this year.

I don't think this team will be healthy enough or mentally-tough enough to go on a serious run to the playoffs.

I'm all for embracing the tank, selling the vets, icing a young lineup and hoping they gain some valuable experience.

Draft high, make a trade or two, sign an FA, and go to next year with a bolstered prospect cupboard and hopefully another impact forward or two.

If we somehow made the playoffs this year, it would set the team back years. Lou would feel justified in the state of the team, and we'd sink further down the hole.

This season is pivotal.

Reality Factor: 98.3% likely that NJ misses the playoffs

It's all but inevitable folks.....time to get on the firesale bandwagon. (not necessarily the "tank" bandwagon).

Jagr, Zidlicky, Gomez and Ryder should be able to return something equivalent to two 2nds, a 3rd and a 5th.

Not a bad haul. Let's hope there are some 20-22-year old near NHL ready forwards in there instead of picks though.
