I think the situations are different. Tatar had term, Nyquist has a year left. Also the Vegas 1st is a late (now really late) 1st. Plus a future 2nd, that doesn’t touch a top 10 pick.

He didn't say Nyquist is worth a top 10 pick. He said top 10 protected, which is the opposite of a top 10 pick. That means he believes Nyquist is worth a 1st round pick that would be OUTSIDE of the top 10.
