Wonder what player who needs to leave next year, cuz of all those good contracts Holland signed, yeah I know SHeahan is not that good..

I wish him luck. I think he is a good fit for Pittsburgh.

I like Riley, he has had a difficult couple years. I hope he can bounce back in Pittsburgh.

I think Detroit needed to move on.

I'm kind of meh on him at this point (was higher on him in the summer, prior to McKegg looking solid as a placeholder), but I guess I'll wait and see.

Makes sense. If Pittsburgh can turn things around for him it will look brilliant, although I did think the Pens would aim a bit higher.

I agree, but this will be low risk with a likely reward type of deal.

It's Sheahan for Wilson, with an exchange of picks. I imagine the pick swap won't be significant, though.

Wilson is a good player, but he was stuck in a numbers game in Pittsburgh and Sullivan seemed to have a weird love for Kuhnhackl. I wish him the best.

Edit: Wilson and a 3rd for Sheahan and a 5th. Like I said, the picks really weren't significant. Now to see if Detroit retained any salary.

I am surprised Detroit got the higher pick, the Pens seemed to be in control here I would think they could demand the higher pick sense Detroit NEEDED to make a deal

Makes sense I guess. We have a ton of wingers and Sprong is still probably going to come up some time soon. Maybe too much, but it doesn't hurt us that bad

Wilson was a number game due to the pens wingers, but no need to give up the higher pick when the wings had to move Sheahan at any cost to get AA back.

I think it's a solid trade from both sides, I really think Sheahan could do pretty well over there. He could also suck balls, but I think he could do good.

Edit: Holy shit I thought it was Sheahan and a 3rd and Wilson and a 5th. Hell yea nice trade Kenny! AA time.

They could have waived Witkowski and Booth...

I just think it was time to move on and I think Pittsburgh fans will like Sheahan. Hopefully he makes the best of his new opportunity.
