Trust me, I want to buy the new GV100 and the insane HDR Asus Monitor (144hz, G-SYNC, HDR, etc) coming out later this year and if you can't tell the difference between 30 FPS, 60FPS or 144, then you really need to go see a specialist. I know I'm being a little aggressive, but if you can't see it, I have to say you're lying to yourself.

Either way, this is still a wait and see, especially since the PC version, which was shown off at the gameplay reveal, doesn't even have a goddamn release date.

PC release is 7 weeks after console, which is... well, still pretty bad, I guess.

7 weeks... how the **** do you justify that especially after showing the first signs of gameplay ON A PC!?

"We're really serious about building a PC playerbase, so to kick it off here's the exact same game 6 weeks later. You get no added benefits or bonuses for waiting an additional 6 weeks. If you want to play the game at launch, buy it on console. Oh but you'll have to start over when you get it for PC because there's no save transfers. Enjoy!"

I mean really they've known they were going to release it on PC since very early on in the development process, if not the beginning. They announced a release date and opened pre-orders and said nothing of the fact that it would be delayed on PC, let alone delayed a month and a half.

Two weeks- okay. Three weeks- I mean, whatever, fine. Six weeks though?!

This is a **** up. A big **** up.

Bungie has said in the past they won't allow for FPS discrepancies/advantages among console users so they'll stick everything at 30. Probably no getting around people having different framerates on PC, though.

I don't trust Destiny betas anymore.

I thought the original had so much promise, but then turns out it was like half the game and the story line made less sense as you went.

I still enjoyed the game for the 25 or so hours I played it, but it could have been so much more.

That is frankly silly.

I mean, sure there's an advantage to playing at a higher frame rate in a shooter game, but 30 to 60 is not so much of an advantage that the average player is going to care and anything competitive would be on the best hardware anyway.

If that's their stance, I wouldn't be surprised to see them lock the frame rate on PC too...hopefully at 60.

The FPS on consoles is more of a manufacturer mandate. For example I believe when the PS4 Pro came out Sony stated that FPS could not be upped for multiplayer games on the Pro.

As a disclaimer, I admit my perception is probably coloured by wanting the best PvE experience and not really caring too much about PvP.

Hoping to buy it on PC but will wait until there's reviews on it before I decide... one of my buddy's is offering to sell his Destiny white PS4 to me for $300 though

Flashpoints sound cool, stuff like those and adventures is what will hopefully keep the game alive when exploring. Weird how it says "sometimes, each week" though.

So honest question. I never got into Destiny, which I honestly blame the beta for. I am definitely interested in Destiny 2 though.... Someone like me who hasnt played the first one, would I have trouble playing the 2nd?

I don't think so. They've repeatedly talked about how they wanted it to be open and accessible to new players. So i'm sure you'll be fine.

Someone wake me up if the game provides an immersive world and an even remotely intelligible storyline. The first game was absolutely terrible at telling a story.
