I'm old enough to remember a few people that thought this lineup would get destroyed. Glad to hear Mrazek may not be as bad as feared. The refs seemed incredibly questionable tonight. Once again, pretty much everyone looked solid at worst, great at best. No matter who can't start the game, or finish it, the guys just keep coming. I wish we could have beaten Oettinger on at least one of the good chances we had on him, but hopefully he got those saves out of his system. Let's do it again tomorrow, minus the bumps and bruises.

Maybe it was dislocated as well as broken, so it was hanging at a janky angle at first but will require relatively simple treatment.

Could be, but no matter how bad it looked at first, a broken thumb would seem to limit the ability to hold a stick. And I'd guess it would likely take weeks for a broken thumb to heal? Here's hoping that's not the case.

Laine would've IMO been worth it if the price was just Necas alone, or even, say, Necas and our 2021 2nd. It was the fact that they reportedly asked for Pesce AND Necas that was incredibly laughable. I'm going to go on a limb and say that PLD probably wouldn't net that return from us, either. That PLD-Laine deal was a match made in heaven.

I dunno, goalies hurt their fingers semi often and the recovery period seems to vary. I guess a lot will depend on what kind of bracing it needs. Like are we talking about a full break, is it affecting the joint, etc

Search GameStop stock (GME). It was the most shorted stock on the market through COVID. Some say 100%+ of the shares are shorted. Reddit meme investors are short squeezing hedge funds. Started around $3-4 a share. Last week the stock went from $75 up to $500+ at one point. Some think $1000+ next week. Handful of Reddit millionaires created. Elon Musk and Mark Cuban are on Reddit's side. Real shady stuff going down on the broker side to try and kill it.
Pretty savvy for Canes twitter. It's definitely the "thing" right now.

I thought Bean looked much better in this game than the one prior. He still had a bobble or two in his own zone, but he was more decisive and defended pretty well (only saw one "oops").
Seems to me Warren Foegele is going to have to earn his way back into the line up.

The season really starts today. 18-19 (4-1 start) 19-20 (5-0) start. Both seasons the Canes were on the bubble at the 56-game mark.
Haula was part of that trade. Last season when he had 4 goals the first 5 games then 7 the first 9 he was a steal and the answer at 2C. I was a Trocheck skeptic, he is starting to convince me. Still, 5 games doesn't warrant "highway robbery."
