His "role" has drastically changed since coming into the league. Early on in his career, he was pretty much a grinder who would occasionaly fight.
He's playing a more of a 2-way style now, and for good reason, because he's had much more success at it.
I don't see how he's overrated. He's a bit of a fan favourite though, which simply comes from the fact that he's very much a "swizz army knife" type of player. He's also a good story, going something like 80+ games and part of five seasons in the NHL before scoring his first goal.
I sort of expect Grant to be dealt at the draft, though. With his strong end to the season, I could see a team giving a 4th round pick for him.
