Anytime I get a dog or cat I know someday they will break my heart. But the love, the laughs and the experiences are worth the eventual hurt.

Derek reminds us with his love of Darla that while he is a hockey player he is first a person with a heart who loved his four legged family member.

For Derek - and all us other dog lovers:

“It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.” - Author unknown

I know there are bigger issues on this team than who the #6 defenseman is, but man it’s frustrating watching this guy play. That first goal surrendered on the Lohrei double minor was completely on Forbort. He’s got all the time in the world to clear the puck and instead he just eats it.

It’s made even more frustrating that there’s a competent bottom pair guy in Wotherspoon sitting in the pressbox. He’s busted his ass all season and hasn’t done anything to warrant getting sat for this slow-footed galoot.

Now the question is, what sort of compromising photos of Montgomery/Sweeney/Neely is Forbort in possession of? Only explanation as to why they’re still trotting him out there, despite the fact that he was horrendous last playoffs against the Panthers.

Isn't Forbort suppose to be some sort of pk specialist? Last year in the playoffs, he was trash on the pk, This year? He's been a flaming pile of horse manure.

Those photos of Monty/Don/Cam must be pretty scandalous.

Exactly! And even if he was the PK specialist that some claim him to be, why are we inserting him into the lineup if that’s the only thing he does well? Considering the PK was doing just fine without him.

The team is struggling with breakouts but they decide to play Forbort over a better puck mover in Wotherspoon. Makes zero sense.

This is where sports are so frustrating to me. I can live with my team losing but when the coaches handicap themselves by not playing the best lineup possible, it’s so god damn aggravating. Anyone with a working brain could predict Forbort sucking this series. We saw it last year, why would it be any different this year?!

My thoughts exactly. Last night, Forbort put on a CLINIC on how NOT to play during the Stanley Cup playoffs. Completely agree that Wotherspoon should be playing instead of Forbort. Heck, at this point, I'd even settle for RHD-RHD pairing of Peeke/Shattenkirk.
