Oilers need a puck mover of sorts. No need for anybody physical or slow. Just somebody who can pass crisply. Not sure why we jettisoned Oesterle or Davidson and brought in slugs.

I am fairly confident Edmonton could get Petrovic for a pick. A 3rd would be a good deal for the Panthers.
He's a decent third pairing guy with some physicality to him and it's always fun to see him lose fight to Kane.

If there’s one thing we aren’t lacking it’s guys that can handle their business. Between Khaira/Lucic/Nurse/Kassian if he’s still around Petrovic wouldn’t have to fight.

Again, body in => body out though. Giving up a pick is fine but you need to take probably Caggiula to make room for Petrovic’s salary

To be fair Bear looks NHL quality and Bouchard’s been good too.

Both Oesterle and Davidson were UFA’s and wanted fresh starts.

First - bluedevil58 is a bit of a troll it seems. Best to ignore his rabble-rousing.

Second - Lucic's trade restrictions means he has to be protected for the next expansion draft. That exposes us to giving up a younger and better piece. No thanks.

Third - Faulk rebounding seems far more likely. He is younger and is looking great so far under a new system/coach (RBA) and with a new partner (de Haan).

"Faulk has declined for 3 years and counting..." - this is just nonsensical. 15 goals in 14-15, 16 goals in 15-16, and 17 goals in 16-17. Sure he's a minus player, but the Hurricanes have had crappy goaltending and a REALLY hard time scoring goals. Most of our players are minus.

Most of the Oilers player are minus . Nurse + 15 , Larsson + . Point is good D can still over come shitty play by a weak team to post decent stats . You know a minus player gets scored more on then he scores . I don't care if Faulk scores 50 goalies as a D man if he ends up minus 40

Don't see why Edm would be interested in a RD that can't get a spot on defense that has on the right side Hainsey, Zaitsev and... Holl? I'm not even sure... which is not a great sign.
