Ignoring the bigger point, I'll just point out that several of the guys you mentioned rarely played or contributed in the playoffs.

That brings back the memory of Ben Eager's best play as a Blackhawk. Eager scored his first Stanley Cup playoff goal in Game 2 of Chicago's victory against the Vancouver Canucks on May 2, 2009, in Vancouver. This led to the Blackhawks' first victory against the Canucks and evened the series at one game apiece. It was a beauty of a shot too!

Any word on the status of Boqvist today?

Crunch time is here and the intensity will be playoff like from here on in. I'm thinking Gilbert's gritty play will be an asset, even if Hawks have to bite the bullet and go with 7 Dmen in the line-up.

Loved what Gilbert brought physically but I thought we already went through the fact that he was struggling a bit. Didnt the guy have worse/comparable fancy stats than seabs?

Once Gilbert learns to pick his spots better (of being physical) I think he becomes a steady NHL Dman.

Junior and I were sitting above that net for that goal. We were still giddy about Hossa's when Eager had a snipe for the ages.
