Decent contract for the guy. Can't complain. Who's the best out of the three shutdown guy?

1. Edmundson
2. Savard
3. Chariot

Who ? Bouchard ? Really ? Who has he developed ? Evans.... WOW !
That’s a start. Possibly the rest of Laval as well. As I’ve stated before. In an expanding league with limited resources that is profit sharing/socialist/capped? A franchise might want to have the best development program they can afford. Oh well.

And I still believe Weber will be Kucheroved.
Weber has 9 months from the last Tampa game to start of 22 playoffs. Not sure if enough. He'll have to work his ass off to stay in shape during that time and overcome some pretty serious injuries. Let's see what he does. I would love it if he Kucheroved.

It's not so much a question of recovery time as how much is left of his ankle and knee. I expect the thumb can be worked out, but if he has bone fusion for his ankle, as per some reports, then he's done with hockey and most other sports.

Chiarot and Edmundson play very well with Habs so far. If Savard put the same impact, that's a great news for sure.

Yeah ankles are a bitch. Real bad. Have an English buddy who was REALLY good at football at 18. Overturned his ankle. Broken. Done.

Weber has some advantages, like unlimited OR time, but if there is not enough left to put back together he's done.

No, you have a 3rd d man passing the puck. Price has said more than once that he could have been a very good D man. I believe him.
I was referring to the fact that we have zero offence from the back end. I know that Petry is capable but he is very inconsistent

Weber back for the playoffs of course, so assuming we make the big dance next year:

Chiarot-Weber
Edmunston-Petry
Romanov-Savard

Price
Allen

Not bad. MB will work on our F during the season and at the deadline.

His ankle has been a problem for years now and he's a big guy which doesn't help the situation.

Anything is possible but the team can't be moving forward with Weber in their plans unless the whole thing is 4-D chess. And I seriously doubt Weber would agree to sit out for 6-9 months without being physically unable to play - that's not like him at all.

Very few D in this league are perfect. But last year, with Edmundson, he did pretty well.
