They won't win squat without production from the back end. Petry looked like a shoe in for the Norris in the first half of the season, then dropped off like a rock in the second half. There's no one else.
When your best outbreak from the back end is Price, you have a serious problem

100% he will. Berg is going to play the game he lost. Hopefully he realizes its also because we couldn't score goals
Yeah, but we should have scored goals. Our sniper was down with a groin injury. And we need help at centre. One centre and all is good in Habland, I believe.

Caufield will score 15 goals next season, at least. He will replace the Tomash we had on the wing.

I honestly didn’t think he’d sign for less than what he made last year, especially with the prices on defensemen and the fact he won a cup.

Again credit to Saku Koivu 11 who called the AAv.

A big body who plays a physical game and will clear the crease. Not flashy but not expected to be. Should pair nicely with Romanov, I really like this signing and contract.

2019 - Chiarot (3 years 3.5M)
2020 - Edmundson (4 years 3.5M)
2021 - Savard (4 years 3.5M)

First two worked out. Hopefully the 3rd is to play one on each pair, and not two of them together.

Since our prospect depth is mostly on the left side he basically replaces Chiarot for the upcoming seasons.

? - Petry
Edmunson - ?
Romanov - Savard

Basically allows our young d to earn a couple of spots.

Could be worse I guess.

Hopefully works out like Edmundson/Chiarot. He's definitely more proven than the other 2.

3.5x4 is fine. Not the player we needed, but I'm getting used to that.
That's basically my thought. So we have;

Edmundson - Petry
Savard - Chiarot
Wideman - Romanov

That's 6 should be solid NHL defenseman. But ... there's not a lot of offence there. Which would be fine if we had forwards that offered offence.... but we don't.

Absolutely is a player that’s needed at playoff time - the question is what regular season player out there can help the team make the playoffs

Savard won't be on the 3rd pairing unless we make another move
